This post will be going to be very short, will cover well know resources which would help you all to learn and understand Spring Boot in a better way, Hope the existing Spring Boot experiences user will also get benefited from this list.
Top resources to learn the Spring Boot
Let's get straight to the point
Here I am trying to add only free resources which would save you some bucks.
- First in the list is the Spring official site. This would look very vast I know but once you understand that on one on the world can write better than who has made it, then you would start read the official document more than other good resources.
- Those who are just started with spring boot can follow along which quick small application from the link
- Next two courses on the list are from Coursera, they are free if you enrol as "audit only"
Both the courses are excellent courses but on the second course, you will learn a little bit about the Google Cloud and how you can host your Spring Boot application into the Cloud.
- Next is from Udemy, it is one of the free course which would help you to make basic Spring boot Rest API from start to end "RESTful Web Services with Spring Framework - A quick start"
How we can forget the YouTube, So I covered a few courses which I find useful-
- "Spring Boot Quick Start" by Java Brains
- "Spring Boot - Getting started with Spring Boot (EASY)" by Amigoscode
- "Spring Boot Tutorial for Beginners (Java Framework)" by Amigocode on freeCodeCamp
- "Spring Boot Tutorial For Beginners" by in28minutes
Once you are done with basic learning material, I would suggest diving into JUnit testing of your API you just build

- Mockito Tutorial - Mocking With Junit and Maven by in28minutes
